The IAP, PU, proudly announces the successful Public defense of Ms. Fozia Hayat’s Ph.D
![]() The Institute of Applied Psychology, University of the Punjab, proudly announces the successful Public defense of Ms. Fozia Hayat’s Ph.D. dissertation titled “Clinical and Psychosocial Determinants of Perceived Quality of Life in People with Parkinson’s Disease.” As part of her split-PhD program, Ms. Fozia completed one year of research training at the University of Manchester, UK, under the supervision of Dr. Laura Brown, while continuing to receive academic mentorship from her primary supervisor, Prof. Dr. Rafia Rafique. She has produced significant scholarly work, including a publication in the impact factor journal Aging & Mental Health and another article currently under review. Her defense was evaluated by esteemed external examiners, Prof. Dr. Masha Asad Khan, Dean at Kinnaird College for Women, Lahore, and Prof. Dr. Shaida Batool from Government College University, Lahore, who commended the quality and relevance of her research. The Director, Prof. Dr. Rafia Rafique, Associate Professor Dr. Fatima Kamran, Dr. Afifa Anjum, and the faculty extend their heartfelt congratulations to Ms. Fozia Hayat on this distinguished academic achievement.
